Campus Life Events   Events   Archives Lecture on Peace SZABIST Islamabad organized a seminar in its new campus on April 29, 2008. Mr. Steve Fryburg, Director, International Peace Group Organization, USA, delivered a "Lecture on Peace." His main focus was about how to promote peace in the current scenario. Steve is in Pakistan on the invitation from Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP). Chairman I-LAP, Mr. Sajid Ishaq emphasized upon the role of youth in promoting peace in our society. Syed Asad Hussain, Deputy Director, SZABIST explained the Islamic standpoint on peace and expressed that peace cannot be endorsed but if a society is not deprived from its rights, it evolves from within. The seminar was very well attended and followed by a long question - answer session. FM91 also participated and covered the main theme of the seminar along with the interviews from the speakers.
