Dr. Izhar-ul-Haq

Dr. Izhar-ul-Haq has assumed the charge of President at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST). He has succeeded Dr. Javaid R Laghari, who has joined Higher Education Commission (HEC) as Chairman.

Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Chancellor SZABIST, Syed Asad Hussain, Campus Head, Islamabad and faculty members have welcomed the new President and expressed their hope that the experiences and leadership of Dr. Izhar-ul-Haq will help the institution grow further in the field of Science and Technology.

Dr. Izhar-ul-Haq has completed his doctorate in Physics from University of Cambridge. On his first visit to Islamabad Campus, Dr. Izhar vowed to enhance the research activities. He said that SZABIST has become one of the leading educational institutes of Asia in a very short span of time. "We will continuously strive for the betterment of education system in Pakistan," he said.
