MS (Management Sciences)


SZABIST offers the Master of Science (MS) degree program (M.Phil equivalent) in Management Sciences with the specialization in the fields of Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Finance.

MS is offered as an evening program and can be completed in 1.5 year after the four year Bachelor, or a Masters degree. A total of 8 MS courses (including 2 Independent Studies of 3 credit hours each) and Thesis are required to graduate. A total of 30 credit hours are required to complete the degree. Additional courses shall be required by non-management sciences' degree holders, depending upon the past academic record.

The maximum time limit to complete the MS degree is five years

For admission to the MS Program, the candidate must have:
Sixteen years of education in a related field with minimum 2nd division 55% marks / CGPA 2.50 from an HEC recognized institution.
Passed the SZABIST MS Entrance Examination (Alternatively, the candidate may submit acceptable score on the NTS's GAT (General) with at least 50 % score).
Passed the Selection Interview with the SZABIST Graduate Committee.

RESEARCH: SZABIST strongly encourages the publication of research findings of Independent Studies, Thesis and Dissertation in research journals & conferences. SZABIST also publishes its own research journal, the Journal of Independent Studies & Research (www.szabist.edu.pk/jisr-msse) and holds two National Research Conferences a year.
