Seminar on Islamic Banking and Finance
Students of BBA-5(A) and BSAF-7(A) had arranged a Seminar in Islamic Banking and Finance on Thursday, 13th April 2017. The theme of the Seminar was to incorporate the students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of Islamic Finance and Islamic Banking and to give them a glimpse about the growth of this subject in Pakistan.
Dr. Shafiullah Jan from Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar was the Guest Speaker. Whereas, senior officials from Dubai Islamic Bank also participated in the event. Dr. Shafiullah Jan is Ph.D. from Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance (DCIEF), Durham University, England. He has more than 13 years of experience in developing and delivering seminars, workshops, lectures and trainings nationally and internationally with special focus on development sector. His main interests are Islamic Political Economy, Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking and Finance, Islamic Microfinance, Justice and Development. Students, staff and faculty members attended the Seminar and asked several questions to the Guest Speaker which were addressed by him. Overall, it was a full of knowledge event from where, everyone learnt a lot.
